Fashion Revolution is in Austin This Week

Fashion Revolution is a global movement calling for greater transparency, sustainability and ethics in the fashion industry. Activists want to unite the fashion industry and ignite a revolution to radically change the way our clothes are sourced, produced and purchased, so that what the world wears has been made in a safe, clean and fair way. The movement calls on consumers to ask Who Made My Clothes before we choose which producers to support.

MRC's Open Arms Studio offers a made-in-the-US, sustainable textile manufacturing option to designers prioritizing care for people and the planet in their business model, like our partners Miranda Bennett Studio, Newton Supply Company, IKEA and Smitten Wovens. When shopping their products, you can know they were made by refugees earning a fair wage for work in a bright, safe and clean studio in downtown Austin, TX, like Maria and Thang, pictured above with Miranda Bennett products.

To learn more and shop local, ethically made products, stop by the Fashion Revolution ATX event and marketplace this Saturday, April 28th from 1-3:30pm. See details here.
