New Partnership Between Miranda Bennett Studio + New Leaf Farm

It's one of the best feelings when a partner of an MRC social enterprise starts a relationship with another of our enterprises. Miranda Bennett Studio, a year-round partner for whom Open Arms produces apparel, contracted New Leaf Farm to grow Mexican Mint Marigold this year to be used in their natural dyes. In early November Miranda brought her whole team to the farm to harvest the flowers side-by-side with the refugee farm apprentices who've grown it. Above, Miranda and Doli work together gathering the blossoms. That day the teams also planted pomegranate trees, whose fruits will be used for dye when they mature. We're thrilled to be developing this dual relationship with Miranda Bennett. If you'd like to learn more about their plan for growing dyes with New Leaf, visit their site
