Fall Apprentices Return to Prepare for Fall Planting

After a few weeks' break from the heat, the New Leaf refugee farm apprentices returned to MRC's Three Creeks Farm last week, working from first thing in the morning until noon to try to catch the day's coolest weather. While our spring season's plantings focused on farm-to-maker crops grown for local producers, the fall plantings will be primarily vegetables to stock a farm stand and sell direct to consumers and supporters like you!

Krishna, Dewaki and Doli work together to lift a heavy tractor attachment (called a bed shaper). Dewaki and Pavitra add compost and fertilizer to the soil to provide nutrients to incoming seeds and transplants.
